PGC-1α deficiency causes spontaneous kidney inflammation
Abstract
PGC-1α (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator-1α, PPARGC1A) regulates the expression of genes involved in energy homeostasis and mitochondrial biogenesis. PGC-1α deficiency has been linked to various diseases, including kidney inflammation. The study aims to investigate the effects of PGC-1α deficiency on kidney function and inflammation. The results of this study will provide valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying kidney inflammation and may lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of kidney diseases.
