Ectors saga : An Arthurian Pastiche in Classical Guise
Abstract
The translations of French Arthurian literature in the North did not generate original Arthurian compositions in Iceland. The late medieval Ectors saga , however, may be considered an Arthurian romance, inasmuch as the author adapted motifs and episodes from Arthurian literature for a plot driven by a knight's search for adventure.
