A new species of Erythraeus (Erythraeus) (Acari: Prostigmata: Erythraeidae) from central Kansas
Abstract
A new species of Erythraeus from USA, Erythraeus (Erythraeus) aphidivorous n. sp., collected as an ectoparasite of the sugarcane aphid, Melanaphis sacchari, in central Kansas is illustrated and described. It is the seventh report of Erythraeus species having the basifemoral setal formula 2-2-2.
