Worldwide Cyanobacteria Occurrence Data

Authors: Saif-Eddine-Mannai;
Abstract

This derived dataset contains worldwide occurrence data for the phylum Cyanobacteria (Cyanophyta). The dataset was filtered and reduced significantly from GBIF-mediated occurrence data. It includes detailed information on the global presence and distribution of cyanobacteria, also known as cyanophytes or blue-green algae. The dataset provides comprehensive details on common names, morphological forms, genera, and species counts across various aquatic ecosystems worldwide. This dataset was prepared by filtering GBIF.org data to include only records relevant to Cyanobacteria from all over the globe, ensuring a broad and representative coverage of this important phylum.
