Abstract

En el Museo de Entomología de la Universidad del Valle (MUSENUV) se encuentran depositadas dos colecciones de mariposas. La primera fue creada y donada por Dr. Hans W. Dahners, identificada con el acrónimo Petaluda, en esta se reportan 6354 ejemplares colombianos, de 14 departamentos, con mayor representatividad el Valle del Cauca con el 96.5 % de los registros. La segunda colección, producto de trabajos de grados y colectas por cursos enfocados a los insectos, en esta se encuentran reportados 8692 ejemplares, de 19 departamentos colombianos, en donde también el Valle del Cauca presenta la mayor representatividad con el 93.2% de los registros.
