Abstract
AbstractConjugate addition to the pentenone (I) using the butenylmagnesium bromide (II) followed by quenching with chlorotrimethylsilane (III) affords (IV), which on treatment with Pd(OAc)2 gives a mixture of the bicyclic compounds (V)‐(VII).
