Organoboron compounds 19. Synthesis of alkylboron dichlorides
Abstract
1. Alkylboron dichlorides are obtained by the action of two equivalents of phosphorus pentachloride upon n-hexyl esters of alkylboric acids. 2. The n-hexyl ester of ethylchloroboric acid undergoes symmetrization on distillation in vacuo (at 60–70°) with formation of ethylboron dichloride and the n-hexyl ester of ethylboric acid.
