Abstract

El recurso presenta un listado de observaciones de aves para Colombia desde 1948 hasta 2011, se presenta un listado total de 413272 registros de aves con información sobre su taxonomía y zonas de distribución geográfica. El cual es producto de la recopilación de diversas iniciativas, entre las que se encuentran: DATAves base de datos de la Red Nacional de Observadores de Aves RNOA, Monitoreo de Avifauna del valle del Cerrejón, Café con sombra y reserva forestal como corredores biológicos, Censos Navideños de la Red nacional de Observadores de Aves, Monitoreos ambientales minas Pribe Now y el Descanso, recorridos en cauces de ríos y quebradas en el programa de monitoreo de fiebre amarilla. Este conjunto de datos fue creado originalmente por la Sociedad Antioqueña de Ornitología (SAO) y fue adoptado por la RNOA en el año 2007 y modificado al estándar de registros biológicos actual por las partes asociadas con los recursos de las organizaciones que son mencionadas como fuentes de financiación.
