Abstract

Español: El Herbario JACA es el herbario de plantas vasculares de mayor tamaño de Aragón y uno de los más importante del país. Fue fundado en los años 60 por el Profesor Pedro Montserrat y se ubicó en la sede de Jaca del Instituto Pirenaico de Ecología-CSIC. La información aquí depositada procede principalmente de ejemplares de plantas recolectados en las últimas seis décadas junto a datos, publicados e inéditos, procedentes de diferentes estudios de investigación. El número total de registros en la base de datos es de 650.000 incluyendo citas bibliográficas y observaciones de “visu”. La colección principal del Herbario JACA está formada por unos 311.000 ejemplares de herbario, más 120.000 pliegos duplicados que sirven para intercambios, exsiccatas, etc. y. además de la colección principal de plantas vasculares, el Herbario JACA alberga diferentes colecciones secundarias: fenomorfológica, semillas (espermoteca), líquenes, musgos, fitolitoteca y una incipiente colección de tejidos para análisis moleculares. It has been rescued by ① extracting it from the GBIF.org index (see GBIF Download in External Data) and ② republishing it on this IPT data hosting centre as version 1.0. English: The Herbarium JACA is the largest herbarium of vascular plants in Aragon and one of the most important in the country. It was founded in the 1960s by Professor Pedro Montserrat and is located at the Jaca headquarters of the Pyrenean Institute of Ecology-CSIC. The information deposited here comes mainly from plant specimens collected in the last six decades together with published and unpublished data from different research studies. The total number of records in the database is 650,000 including bibliographic citations and "visu" observations. The main collection of the JACA Herbarium consists of some 311,000 herbarium specimens, plus 120,000 duplicate sheets used for exchanges, exsiccata, etc. In addition to the main collection of vascular plants, the JACA Herbarium houses different secondary collections: phenomorphological, seeds (sperm library), lichens, mosses, phytolith library and an incipient collection of tissues for molecular analysis.
