en la Isla Mazorca, Lima, Peru ysu relacion con la presencia de aves marinas, tipode sustrato e intensidad de viento.MATERIAL Y METODOSEl area de estudio comprendio la Isla deMazorca (11° 23´30´´ LS, 77° 26´30´´ LW), frentea Huacho en el departamento de Lima, Peru. Suextension es de 11,63 ha. El muestreo de lasgarrapatas se realizo los dias 28 y 29 de febrerodel ano 1998, entre las 9:00 h y las 12:00 h, debidoa que durante estas horas, la abundancia de esteacaro es mayor en el guano o bajo las piedras
