Abstract

La colección entomológica de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede Orinoquia (CEO) documenta la biodiversidad de insectos de Colombia y Venezuela con especial énfasis en la cuenca de la Orinoquia Colombiana que incluye los departamentos de Arauca, Boyacá, Caquetá, Casanare, Cundinamarca, Guainía, Guaviare, Huila, Meta, Norte de Santander, Santander, Vaupés y Vichada. La sistematización y divulgación de la información que resguarda la colección de CEO, es fundamental para la generación de conocimiento acerca de la morfología, ecología, sistemática y conservación de insectos, y promueve la participación activa de investigadores e instituciones interesadas en los procesos de investigación a nivel local, regional y nacional.

El presente recurso contiene la información asociada a 9292 registros biológicos los cuales se encuentran agrupados en dos clases, 16 ordenes, 92 familias, 163 géneros, 169 especies y 14 subespecies. Todos los registros provienen de Colombia de los departamentos de Arauca, Casanare, Magdalena y Norte de Santander,
