Abstract

La colección Entomológica del Museo de Historia Natural de la Universidad de los Llanos, es la segunda colección de insectos de la Orinoquia colombiana, albergando aproximadamente 10.990 especímenes representados en 4.408 registros biológicos, agrupados en 24 órdenes, 139 familias, 204 géneros, 285 especies y 12 subespecies provenientes en su gran mayoría del departamento del Meta (99.6%). Este recurso posee información consolidada de muchas especies que provienen de proyectos de investigación, actividades de docencia y depósitos voluntarios del programa de Biología de la Universidad de los Llanos.
