Colección de mamíferos voladores y no voladores de la Universidad de Nariño

Abstract

En la base de datos del museo de mastozoología de la Universidad de Nariño PSO CZ, se alojan datos correspondientes a 551 ejemplares de 53 especies de mamíferos. Los ejemplares representan a cinco órdenes, entre ellos Carnivora, Chiroptera, Didelphimorphia, Lagomorpha y Rodentia. El orden Chiroptera es el más representativo dentro de la colección, al contar con 34 especies. En los cinco órdenes se encuentran incluidas 14 familias entre ellas, Phyllostomidae, Cricetidae, Vespertilionidae, Mustelidae, Didelphidae, Leporidae, Procyonidae, Cuniculidae, Erethizontidae, Molossidae, Dasyproctidae, Dinomyidae, Sciuridae y Ursidae. Por otra parte, asociados a los ejemplares se incluyen datos geográficos que representan poblaciones de las especies de diferentes ecosistemas, principalmente de Nariño y Putumayo, pero también de Cauca y Huila.
