Abstract

The Herbarium of the University of Opole was founded in 1991 by prof. Eugeniusz Kuźniewski from the Medical Academy of Wrocław. The collections of the herbarium come from various countries, mainly from Poland and Balkans. The oldest collections date from the 1950s and 1960s and come from southern Europe and south-western Poland, and were assembled by prof. Eugeniusz Kuźniewski. The Herbarium is part of the Institute of Biology at the University of Opole and is located in a building at 22a Oleska Str. Access to the collection is restricted.
