Abstract

Se presentan las familias Aristolochiaceae, Asteraceae, Bromeliaceae, Fabaceae y Myrtaceae de la colección del Herbario USD. Este conjunto de datos cuenta con especímenes recolectados entre el 5 de octubre de 1936 y el 15 de mayo de 2004, por exploradores y botánicos reconocidos. La extensión geográfica del conjunto de datos abarca 103 municipios de las 30 provincias y el Distrito Nacional de la República Dominicana. El total de registros es de 1 032 especímenes, pertenecientes a 270 especies y 181 géneros. El número de registros por familia se distribuye de la siguiente manera: Aristolochiaceae (19), Asteraceae (311), Bromeliaceae (142), Fabaceae (441), Myrtaceae (119). La creación del perfil de este conjunto de datos en el portal Neotropical Flora de Symbiota fue posible gracias a la colaboración con el Biodiversity Knowledge Integration Center (BioKIC), Arizona State University. El trabajo de movilización y digitalización de los datos se realizó bajo el financiamiento del Programa Biodiversity Information for Development (project BID-CA2020-031-NAC) de la Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) y la Unión Europea.
