Flora of Patnitop and adjoining areas, Jammu and Kashmir, India

Abstract

The presented data is the enumeration of tracheophytes of Patnitop and adjoining areas in Jammu and Kashmir, India. Patnitop is a hill station and favorite tourist destination in north west Himalaya wherein Cedar woods are the main point of attraction. Because of heavy inflow of tourist the site is under the pressure of anthropogenic activities. The documentation of the flora of this region is required on urgent basis because the invasion of non native species is very common. This data set will be supplemented with other lists shortly once field surveys are conducted.
