Abstract

La colección de aves de la Universidad de Nariño cuenta en el momento con 1.249 registros que abarcan 48 familias y 270 géneros, correspondientes a 419 especies identificadas y 9 ejemplares identificados sólo hasta género. En su mayoría los registros corresponden a localidades ubicadas en el Sur Occidente Colombiano, incluyendo Nariño (92.15%), Putumayo (5.52%), Cauca (1.12%), Valle del Cauca (0.16%) y algunos ejemplares de Cundinamarca (0.16%) y Huila (0.80%). Hasta el momento no se cuenta con ejemplares internacionales dentro de la colección.
