Abstract

En el departamento del Chocó los artrópodos (clase arachnida) son pocos estudiados, por esta razón, existen considerables vacíos de información referente a estos grupos de estudio especialmente en los ecosistemas de media y alta montaña, desconociendo así los papeles ecológicos fundamentales de estos bichos en estas zonas estratégicas del departamento. Debido a esto el Instituto de investigaciones ambientales del pacifico realizo una caracterización de la Artropofauna (Clase arachnida) presente en el Cerro Utría en el municipio de Nuquí, con el fin de conocer aspectos ecológicos de estas especies y generar herramientas que garanticen la conservación de estos ecosistemas. El presente documento presenta los resultados de la caracterización de los Aracnidos presentes en el Cerro Utría, siguiendo métodos estandarizados y modificados según las condiciones topográficas del área de estudio.
