The dataset comprises records of four Chenopodium species stored in 36 herbaria: AA (Almaty), ALTB (Barnaul), B (Berlin), BIEL (Bielefeld), BM (London), C (Copenhagen), E (Edinburgh), FI (Firenze), FRU (Bishkek), G (Geneva), H (Helsinki), IRK (Irkutsk), IRKU (Irkutsk), KAS (Kassel), KRAS (Krasnoyarsk), KUH (Karachi), LD (Lund), LE (St Petersburg), M (München), MAG (Magadan), MHA (Moscow), MSB (München), (MW (Moscow), NSK (Novosibirsk), NS (Novosibirsk), P (Paris), PR (Prague), PRA (Pruhonice), RAW (Rawalpindi), S (Stockholm), TASH (Tashkent), TK (Tomsk), SASY (Yakutsk), SVER (Ekaterinburg), UDU (Izhevsk), VLA (Vladivostok), W (Vienna). In addition, were checked images available in the Chinese Virtual Herbarium (see: http://www.cvh.ac.cn). The dataset includes 184 occurences of Chenopodium. grubovii Lomon & Uotila sp. nov., 513 occurences of C. karoi (Murr) Aellen, 129 occurences of Chenopodium pamiricum Iljin and 104 occurences of Chenopodium vulvaria L.
