Abstract
Instituído no ano de 2000, o herbário HUEG conta com um acervo de aproximadamente 7.000 exemplares entre Plantas vasculares, Briófitas, Fungos macroscópicos e Mixomicetos, com predomínio de representantes do Bioma Cerrado, especialmente do estado de Goiás, com coleções representativas de diversas unidades de conservação do estado. Encontra-se indexado no Index Herbariorum, Rede Brasileira de Herbários (SBB) e INCT-Herbário Virtual da Flora e dos Fungos. Tem por objetivo tornar-se uma coleção de referência para o estudo da flora e da micobiota do Cerrado.
