IICT Herbário LISC
The Herbarium LISC holds more than 300 000 specimens, and a large number of duplicates to exchange with other herbaria. The main collections represented are: from Angola J.M. Antunes, E. Dekindt, John Gossweiler, J.M. Brito Teixeira and from the Mission of Foresty Studies of Angola; L.A. Grandvaux Barbosa, from Cape Verde, Angola e Mozambique; J. Espírito Santo, from S. Tomé and Príncipe, and Guinea-Bissau; E.J. Mendes, from Angola; F.A. Mendonça and A.R. Torre, from Angola and Mozambique; Exell, Mendonça & Wild, from Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe; Schlieben, from Tanzania; G.C. de Matos, from Cape Verde, J.G. Garcia, from Mozambique; G.M.P.C. Le Testu from Western Africa; E. Figueiredo, from S. Tomé and Príncipe, L. Catarino, from Guinea-Bissau; M.A. Diniz, from Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and Cape Verde; E.S. Martins, from Angola, Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau; M.C. Duarte from Cape Verde; and J. Simão, from Mozambique. The collections from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and S. Tomé and Principe are among the largest at world scale. The digitising process is ongoing, which will result in new additions to this resource in the near future.
