SeamountsOnline (seamount biota) (CoML)

Authors: Registry-Migration.Gbif.Org;
Abstract

SeamountsOnline holds data on species collected or observed from seamounts. All metazoan taxa are included, and the spatial extent is global. Data are from published sources or from electronic datasets donated by known institutions, individuals, or governmental groups. The database is not complete, as data are continually being added. The species names used in SeamountsOnline are those used in the original data source: we have not updated names to reflect later taxonomic revisions. Note that the OBIS name server can provide known synonyms and current valid names for many taxa.
