Abstract

El conjunto de datos comprende un inventario de la fauna registrada en la zona mesofótica superior (30-70 m de profundidad) en el lado occidental (Sotavento) de la isla de San Andrés, Colombia. El conjunto de datos incluye una lista de todas las especies de algas, corales, esponjas y peces que fueron observados durante una exploración submarina con buceo técnico mediante equipos de circuito cerrado (rebreather). Adicionalmente, provee datos de abundancia de peces y número de catalogo de organismos recolectados y depositados en el Museo de Historia Natural Marina de Colombia (MHNMC) en Invemar. En total se reportan 154 especies, 13 especies de algas, 33 cnidarios, 34 esponjas, una langosta, un briozoo y 70 especies de peces. Entre las 18 especies recolectadas se encuentran : 6 corales negros, 6 octocorales y 3 especies de coral duro.
