Antarctic Lakes Brine Raw sequence reads
Abstract
The Tarn Flat area is the largest ice-free area (ca. 11 9 km) north to the McMurdo Dry Valley in Victoria Land (Antarctica). The aim was to identify the biodiversity differences in hypersaline brines; understanding the reasons of these differences, considering that brines might contain DNA and RNA molecules that remain trapped inside for long geological eras, thus representing a key to reconstruct past ecosystems.
