Abstract

La colección de semillas del Instituto Alexander von Humboldt nació en el año 2018, como parte del Consorcio del Millennium Seed Bank del Jardín Botánico de KEW, el banco de semillas para la conservación de especies silvestres más grande del mundo. La colección de semillas tiene como objetivo principal la conservación ex-situ y a largo plazo de semillas de especies silvestres endémicas, amenazadas y útiles de todo el territorio colombiano, con el fin de aportar a la construcción de soluciones en temas como restauración, agrobiodiversidad y conservación.
