Abstract

O Herbário HRSN, localizado no Centro de Estudos em Biologia Vegetal (CEBIVE), na Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco (UNIVASF), Campus de Ciências Agrárias (CCA) foi criado em 2014 e surgiu a partir dos inventários florísticos realizados nas áreas de influência do Projeto de Integração do Rio São Francisco com Bacias Hidrográficas do Nordeste Setentrional (PISF). A coleção foi indexada em 2020 no Index Herbariorum com um total de 7.732 exemplares e faz parte da Rede Brasileira de Herbários (RBH). Atualmente, possui um acervo com mais de 20.500 exsicatas, em sua maioria, do Domínio Fitogeográfico da Caatinga e distribuídas entre os grupos das Angiospermas, Algas, Briófitas, Samambaias e Licófitas. As coleções acessórias possuem 256 amostras de Carpoteca, 110 indivíduos da Coleção viva, 103 de Macrofungos (Basidiomycota) e alguns exemplares da Xiloteca. O HRSN tem caminhando cada vez mais em direção a ser um acervo de referência para pesquisas direcionadas a Caatinga.
