Abstract

El Herbario FCO del Dpto. de Biología de Organismos y Sistemas se crea en el año 1968 en la antigua Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Oviedo a iniciativa del entonces director del Departamento D. Matías Mayor, está en continuo crecimiento y en la actualidad lo componen cerca de 40000 pliegos, con 33 holotypus, 51 isotypus y 1 neotypus todos puestos en la red a traves del portal de Gbif. Dispone de una amplia representación de la flora cantábrica y del NW de la Península Ibérica.
