A Xiloteca Joinvillea (JOIw) iniciou suas atividades em 2005 e abriga 2100 amostras de madeiras, sendo 1976 identificadas ao nível de espécie. Há um total de 442 espécies, distribuídas em 264 gêneros e 79 famílias. As madeiras preponderantemente são oriundas das formações de Mata Atlântica do estado de SC.
