Rare species of flora and fauna of Ukrainian Carpathians
The dataset contains information on the distribution of plant and animal species listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine and Resolution 6 of the Bern Convention. The database contains species from the 11 taxonomic groups. The information in the dataset was collected on the territory of 11 protected areas: Cheremosky, Verkhovynsky, Vizhnytsky, Hutsulshchyna, Carpathian, Synevyr, Skolivski Beskydy, Uzhansky, Zacharovanyi Krai National Nature Parks and Gorgany Natural Reserve, all located in the Ukrainian Carpathians, as well as Yavorivsky National Nature Park, located in the Roztochya region. Some points are located in areas adjacent to these protected areas, including areas proposed for expansion. The dataset contains information mainly from archival sources, such as the Chronicles of Nature of National Nature Parks and Natural Reserves as well as data from the authors' field research.
