This dataset contains the digitized treatments in Plazi based on the original journal article Costa, Maria Tereza R., Zorzanelli, João Paulo F., Bovini, Massimo G. (2022): In the middle way there was a Callianthe (Malvaceae): a new species in forest path edges from Espírito Santo state, Brazil. Phytotaxa 577 (1): 145-149, DOI: 10.11646/phytotaxa.577.1.9, URL: http://dx.doi.org/10.11646/phytotaxa.577.1.9AbstractWe propose a new species restricted to the Atlantic Forest from the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo, Callianthe capixabae. Morphological description, taxonomic comments, illustrations, distribution, habitat, and phenology are provided. C. capixabae is closely related to C. glaziovii and C. schenckii, but can be distinguished from them mainly by indument, inflorescence type, calyx nerves, corolla colour and fruit length.
