Abstract

O Herbário BOTU está registrado no Index Herbariorum e conta com um acervo de cerca de 38.000 espécimes vegetais de locais diversos, mas principalmente da região de Botucatu, além de uma coleção de frutos e sementes com amostras predominantes do cerrado regional, com relevância para o estado de São Paulo. É o depositário dos materiais botânicos relativos aos diversos projetos de pesquisa e às Dissertações e Teses dos diferentes Programa de Pós-Graduação do Campus de Botucatu e outros. No momento temos a seguintes coleções especiais: Erythroxylaceae; Flora da Serra da Mantiqueira; Plantas do Cerrado Paulista; Plantas do Litoral de São Paulo e Serra do Mar; Coleção Porto Primavera; Coleção Cerrado 13 de maio; Plantas Tóxicas e Medicinais do Cerrado Paulista; Plantas de Humaitá/AM; Coleção Cerrado de Pratânia; Coleção de Fungos Liquenizados.
