Abstract

The Pe. Dr. Raulino Reitz Herbarium (CRI) at the University of the Extreme South of Santa Catarina (UNESC) is located in Criciúma, Santa Catarina. It was founded in June 1992 and officially registered in the Index Herbariorum on August 7, 1997. The herbarium was named in honor of Father Dr. Raulino Reitz (1919–1990), who dedicated much of his life to studying the flora of Santa Catarina. The CRI Herbarium serves as a reference collection for the flora of southern Santa Catarina, with specimens primarily representing the Atlantic Forest biome. The collection focuses on phytophysiognomies such as the Pioneer Formation with Marine Influence (Restinga), Dense Ombrophilous Forest, and Mixed Ombrophilous Forest. Currently, the herbarium houses approximately 14,365 cataloged specimens, all available online, with over 90% of them digitized. #-------------------- O Herbário Pe. Dr. Raulino Reitz (CRI) da Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC), localizado no Município de Criciúma, Santa Catarina, foi fundado em junho de 1992 e em 7 de agosto de 1997 obteve registro junto ao Index Herbariorum. Recebeu seu nome em homenagem ao Padre Dr. Raulino Reitz (1919-1990), que dedicou grande parte de sua vida ao estudo da flora catarinense. O Herbário CRI é uma coleção referência da flora do Sul do estado, onde as exsicatas concentram-se no Bioma Mata Atlântica, principalmente nas regiões fitoecológicas Pioneira de Influência Marinha (Restinga), Floresta Ombrófila Densa e Floresta Ombrófila Mista. Atualmente, a coleção conta com cerca de 14.365 espécimes tombados e disponíveis online, deste total, mais de 90% encontra-se digitalizado.
