Abstract

The Prodrome de Candolle herbarium (G-DC) includes the specimens used for the preparation of the 17 volumes of the 'Prodromus systematis naturalis regni vegetabilis' (1824-1873) and its subsequent contribution, the 'Monographiae Phanerogamarum' (1874-1896). This herbarium also includes Casimir De Candolle's collection of Piperaceae.
