Abstract
O principal objetivo do herbário da Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei (HUFSJ) é a organização de uma coleção botânica representativa da flora da região fisionômica dos Campos das Vertentes, localizada no sudeste do estado de Minas Gerais. O acervo conta atualmente com cerca de 7800 espécimes.
