Abstract

VI ABSTRACT EFFECTS OF TEMPERATURE ON THE SEED STERILITY OF RICE (Oryza sativa L.) PLANTED IN DIFFERENT PERIOD ÜZEL, Nilüfer Master thesis, Biology Section Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ismail Türkan Number of pages is 48. In this experiment, cultur varieties such as TOAG-92 and İZ-180 which was improved in Department of Field Crops in Faculty of Agriculture at Ege University and BALDO, RİBE and LİDO were used as experimental material. In the experiment, five cultivars were sown in a pot filled with 5 kg. soil and placed in a pond in triplicate at eight different planting times. A total of 120 pots were used in this experiment and all of the pots were placed in triplicate groups. In this study, the effects of temperature which is one of the most important environmental factors on the seed fertility due also product ion were invetigated. Sterility ratio (%), seed setting longevity, grain yield, grain weight, thousands graing weights, vegetative growth, and, maturation periods and protein contents of the grains (%) of varities studied were determined. ÖZET SICAKLIĞIN, FARKLI EKİM ZAMANLARINDA EKİLEN BAZI ÇELTİK (Oryza sativa L.) ÇEŞİTLERİ TOHUM STERİLİTESİ ÜZERİNE OLAN ETKİLERİ ÜZEL, Nilüfer Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Biyoloji Anabilim Dalı Tez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. İsmail Türkan Sayfa Sayısı : 48 Denememizde, Ege Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri Bölümünde yürütülen çalışmalar sonucu geliştirilmiş, TOAG-92 ve İZ- 180 çeşitlerinin yanısıra BALDO, RİBE ve LİDO çeşitleri materyal olarak kullanılmıştır. Denemede, 5 çeşit 3 tekerrürlü olarak 8 ekim zamanında havuzdaki 5 kg toprak içeren saksılara ekilmiştir. Toplam 120 saksı kullanılmış, saksılar 3 'erli sıralar halinde dizilmiştir. Bu araştırmada, çevresel streslerin en önemlilerinden birini oluşturan sıcaklık stresinin, farklı ekim zamanlarında ekilen bazı çeltik çeşitleri tohum sterilitesi üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çeşitlerin, % sterilite oranı, çiçeklenme zamanı, dane verimi, dane ağırlığı, bin dane ağırlığı, vejetatif süre, olum süresi ve % protein oranlan belirlenmiştir.
