KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT ECOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF OFFSHORE WIND FARMS

Description

This study aims to use a coupled atmosphere-ocean-wave model to investigate the effects of offshore wind farms on ecological processes. This numerical model is able to investigate if wind fields, wave field, turbulence etc. change due to offshore wind turbines. These variables are often input data for ecological models and are thus essential to correctly model in order to investigate the effect of offshore wind turbines.
