The heat generated within electronic devices needs to be efficiently routed out in one way while the heat propagation to surrounding components can be prevented by using highly insulative 2D materials. These 2D materials were grown in a modified homemade setup utilizing atmosphere chemical vapour deposition (CVD). The growth conditions were optimized and the synthesized MoS2 llayers were fully characterized. A uniform and continuous MoS2 layer with a thickness of several nanometers and an average domain size of 2µm has been obtained. The synthesized 2D layer material will be transferred and stacked to construct 2D heterostructures.
