Support to the NWA Smart Liveable Cities Route 2019

In order to further develop the Smart Liveable Cities route, we build on our earlier work with the network on this route. Thiswork resulted in new ties between researchers, informing the network on NWO opportunities, and the creation of a strong,broad consortium for a NWO application on Smart Liveable Cities. Also, we focussed on introducing more societal elementsinto the research on smart cities in line with the goals of NWA.For this support call we intend to grow and strengthen the network through a series of activities that support and promote ahigher engagement with society through mission driven research. We will involve more (societal) actors in the SmartLiveable Cities route with the aim to activate and inform stakeholders, and ensure representation within the network. The activities are: • Bi-monthly (3) meetings in the remainder of 2019 • Monthly Newsletter to inform about NWA developments • Connecting other NWA routes to this route • Bilateral meetings with parties interested in the route Smart Liveable Cities
