Enabling Open Science in Qualitative Research: The Reproducible Open Coding Kit (ROCK)

Description

It is not immediately obvious how qualitative research (for example where people are interviewed and the audio recordings are transcribed and coded) can be conducted according to open source principles. In this project, we will consolidate a standard developed to this end, and we will develop a number of resources to work with this standard and to learn that. Specifically we will consolidate the “Reproducible Open Coding Kit” and develop two software packages to work this this standard: an R package and a graphical interface. Finally, we will develop open educational resources to facilitate learning to work with these resources.
