Women diagnosed with BRCA are often not considered patients even though they require healthcare to manage the risk of cancer. Therefore, person-centred care (PCC), an approach to care that recognises the person as an individual with their own needs and preferences, is most beneficial for them. Only limited research has focused on how PCC or it’s dimensions can be implemented effectively. In this project, we investigate what dimensions of PCC are important to women diagnosed with BRCA through a Q-study, and how these can be incorporated in BRCA care through interviews with the healthcare professionals.
