Scavengers as potential key drivers of nutrient redistribution across the landscape

Description

The role of key scavengers, the griffon vulture and wolf, in nutrient recycling through ecosystems will be quantified by analysing the nutrients they consume and excrete, relating this to their movement using GPS-tracking. Maps of scavenger-derived nutrient hotspots will be created to provide new insights into scavengers’ impact on ecological functioning, important for their conservation.
