<< Objectives >>The project envisages the implementation of activities that will support various aspects of visually impaired children and youth in their education and social integration. The leading project goal is supporting the educational process of visually impaired students by ensuring equal access to workbooks (textbooks), additional literature and materials via creating supportive environment for their integration into the secondary education system. Also, three specific project goals were set.<< Implementation >>All of the project activities are aimed at providing information in an accessible format and create conditions for equal participation of target group in the learning process: - Printing in Braille and adapting in electronic format the literature studied at school, which has not been available so far; - Creating a web platform for counseling families of visually impaired children at school age, with access to virtual resources library;- Software adaptation of visual text-perception glasses.<< Results >>The pedagogical guidance of visually impaired students aims at supporting informed and tailored choices, as well as at increasing motivation, confidence in their own abilities and opportunities for their future personal development. Working with parents will help families find the right approach to promoting the integration of their children. Adopting rules and patterns of behavior that facilitate communication is an important prerequisite for successful inclusion in the social environment.
