New Vision - Albania will implement the project “SafeNet” in cooperation with Club for Youth Empowerment 018 – Serbia, Udruga “Impress” – Croatia, Beyond Borders – Italy, Red Cross Novo Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina and SPPMD – Macedonia. Through the set of diverse proposed activities, the project will tackle the problem of security and safety of young people. On one hand, the activities will have an educational feature aimed at raising the awareness about safety issues in Europe empowering youth workers from the participating countries with new competences that can be included in their work that includes introduction to “The contribution of youth work to preventing marginalization and violent radicalization - A practical toolbox for youth workers & Recommendations for policy makers”. Another element of the youth workers’ empowerment will be the transfer of the methodology to use art as the channel for education as it easily reaches young people and motivates them to take the active role. On the other, young people will be given an opportunity to directly respond to safety issues and provide opinion on different safety segments – some of the most common: peer violence, cyber bullying, radicalization and extremism as well as abuse of psychoactive substances and alcohol. Young people from 6 countries will provide input for a set of recommendations (document to be produced within this project) to the relevant entities (different Working groups, youth offices, local – self governments and similar) at the local level; the document will also be published and distributed at the European level.
