It is said, that Europe is undergoing the so called „migration crisis”; more and more people come to the EU countries searching for a better future, and approx. 12% are young people between 15 -24 yrs old. Youth work in all EU countries therefore should respond to opportunities and challenges raised by this increasing number of young migrants and refugees in the EU. The better prepared youth workers the more visible results in adaptation, developing skills, creating positive images and common understanding of migrants in the future.Among the main challenges for youth work nowadays we can mention (according to 2nd European Youth work Declaration): supporting the inclusion of young people, building citizenship; the provision of spaces for debate, discussion and engagement; helping young people to develop a range of intercultural skills and competences, fostering understanding and respect. In order to fulfill this role there is a need to prepare youth organizations and youth workers for implementation of high quality multidimentional, complex programs for migrant and non-migrant youth. The MYgrant METAMORHOSIS project presents a comprehensive apporach to professionalization and quality youth work for social integration of migrant youth. The main goal is to create for youth organizations conditions for delivery of high quality youth work, by equiping them with comprehensive development MYgrant METAMORHOSIS Programme, supporting youth workers in their professional development and work, shaping migrants’ basic soft skills, taking initiative, and extracting their potential as a driver for education and intergration, by October 2021. The following results are planned to achieve the above mentioned goal: developed and tested set of methodologies and tools to support youth workers, called MYgrant METAMORPHOSIS Program:12 youth workers from partner organizations improve their skills in working with migrant youth and wil lbe prepared to the role of ambassadors and trainers to other youth workers. A space for artistic expression of youth created in 4 partner organizations through organizing multimedia & art workshops for total 96 young people.A new comprehensive and multidimentional offer for youth, presented, explained and offered for free to use to 60 youth organizations and 60 youth workers through awareness raising events and for wider access through product platforms/internet. 3000 recipients can bereached all in all. Raised awareness among the wide public, stakeholders, policy makers on the need of integration of young migrants to society.MGM Program offers the following tools and activities: MYgrant mediART - Multimedia and Art for Social Inclusion – Methodologies for Youth Work with migrants. A handbook describing methods of work with mixed groups of migrants and natives and scenarios of multimedia & art. workshops combined with train the trainer course for youth workers.MYgrant JOURNEY. Intercultural Citizenship. A board game for informal learning in youth organizations and shaping intercultural awareness.MYgrant ONLINE PLATFORM – Digital Library of Methodologies and Tools. A self-learning tool for for youth workers and library of digital teaching and learning materials to use during the work with youth.MYgrant EVENT. How to organize My own Event? A guide for Event Management for youth workers and informative brochure for youth on how to organize artistic event with low budget. The main target groups are youth workers and young people with migrant background, but project partners are going to reach with dissemination and exploitation activities also the wider public – public administration, organizations working with youth or policy making institutions as local/regional/EU level to ensure widespread visibility and sustainability of the project results.
