''EU facing migrations'' was meant for youth workers, who wanted to contribute to a more tolerant and open society while fighting prejudices and xenophobia by using techniques of outreach work and jointly developing tools.NGO Calamus organised a three-activity project ''EU facing migrations'' in 2016/2017, in Belgrade, Serbia. It contained two training courses, in which the participants gained knowledge about migrations that were in that moment becoming even bigger issue in the region, its roots and causes, the difficulties and threats that refugees and migrants are facing and learn different techniques and methods how to approach and support them. The third activity was a seminar where the participants were able to jointly develop a tool kit for empowerment of other outreach workers in this field. This training was aimed for 30 youth workers who were interested in using outreach techniques while working with migrants in their local communities.
