"All countries involved in this project, also the more advanced ones, experience gender-based violence and display a strong patriarchal mentality. Many of the young people our partner organizations work with, with a majority belonging to vulnerable groups, have suffered of different forms of domestic violence, be it as a direct victim or as a witness, who in turn becomes a victim, if 'only' through witnessing. Since the damage done is often not physical but psychological, witnessing such violence can cause as much damage. Following the needs of the partners identified by different means (Needs/ SWOT Analysis etc.) at the level of their organizations we have noticed the need for new practices, strategies and resources for youth workers, trainers, and educators to prevent violence against women and girls and women’s human rights violations. The purpose of the project was an international synergy between 6 European organizations with the same needs: educating towards gender equality, facilitating the social inclusion of young people from vulnerable groups. Having as target groups youth workers, trainers, artists, journalists involved in youth education belonging to partner organizations as well as young people belonging to vulnerable groups we proposed a project having the following objectives : 1. Professional development of each partner organization through European collaboration, through direct learning, acquiring new working practices, and effective strategies to develop a culture of gender equality by means of 5 Short-term joint staff training events 2.To raise awareness on gender based violence using various non-formal methods during Awareness Raising Campaigns launched by all partners 3.To develop a new learning e-tool – ""LOVE DOESN'T HURT TV”, a web TV channel as a true resource of international value, bringing together the best European practices and mechanisms to combat violence and social exclusion of young people. The objectives were achieved through: * 5 Short-term joint staff training events * Working sessions with the young people supported by each of our organizations ( knowledge transfer workshops and other events ) *Dissemination activity on line ( during pandemic) at European level - partners, associated partners, stakeholders and young people *Public Facebook group Love Doesn't Hurt - created during lock-down in order to continue knowledge transfer and to stand against domestic violence * All partners launched Awareness Rising Campaigns against GBV using all new working methods acquired during the 5 training. * ""LOVE DOES’N HURT TV”, the web TV channel as digital network between partner organizations was used to upload new resources against all forms of GBV for NGO staff, youth workers, trainers, artists, young people, citizens in general. Methodology used: C1: Training - Competences in Media – Interactive Lectures, Structured Discussions, Open Discussions, Team Work, Outdoor activites in order to create video products against GBV C2: Training – Participatory Arts- Forum Theater, Invisible Theater, Statue Theater, Paper Theater - against domestic violence changing aggressive behaviors and attitudes towards girls, developing equal relationship among young people, facilitating social inclusion of young people from vulnerable groups C3: Training - Life Strategies for Better Health - Sport to overcome sexist attitudes, cooking therapy against domestic violence, study visits to share experiences in and methods of prevention of violence C4: Training- Women Rights as Human Rights- Cartoons, mail arts, study visits in order to understand Women Rights as Human Rights C5: Training- Raising Awareness Campaign - will use Moderate Discussion, Structure Discussion, Outdoor Activity, Participatory Arts, Cartoons, Team Working on the WEB TV in order to launch The Raising Awareness Campaign Expected results and impact Youth workers, as direct beneficiaries of the project, benefited from 6 types of learning activities and multiple working practices with young people, which was good supports for rethinking and improving their activities. They became more competent in educating young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. They transferred their newly gained competences to young people, as indirect beneficiaries empowering them against GBV and facilitating their social inclusion The WEB TV LOVE DOESN’T HURT is a resources of European value raising awareness on GBV. The Raising Awareness Campaign changed aggressive behaviors and attitudes, developing equal relationship among young people. Each partner institution became more visible in cooperation with local and regional institutions in the youth field, more involved in projects focused on young people who suffered GBV and who are at risk of social exclusion. The knowledge of the experiences and cultural values of the 6 European countries improved the interest of the partner for European cooperation."
