Bridge to multicurtural learning and creating

Description

The challenge addressed by the project is a fast ageing. Due to rising life expectancy, the proportion of older people in Europe is increasingly rapidly. Active ageing and solidarity between generations are key to the creation of a Europe for all ages. The transmission of older people's knowledge and skills to the younger generations should be encouraged and their skills should be utilised after retirement, for example through voluntary work.Multigenerational learning as an answer to above challenges, represents one of the most important means of overcoming gaps between generations. Proposed project aims to increase the quantity and above all enhance the quality of multigenerational cooperation between the oldest and the youngest generation – seniors and preschool children.Project is designed on the basis of ongoing Erasmus+ Strategic partnership, through which, partners recognized the great added value of multigenerational learning if it is well planned, and conducted by relevantly trained senior mentors, adult education and preschool staff.Project main target group are senior mentors. Project aims to provide seniors with opportunities for active ageing by training them for multigenerational programs mentoring. The overall project objective is to develop and pilot five well planned multigenerational activities programs, which will become a part of regular activities of all project partner organizations. Adult education providers, preschool teachers and senior mentors will in a project, trough learning from each other, sharing ideas, practices and methods gain all the knowledge and skills needed for implementation of good quality multigenerational activities.Connecting not only two different sectors of education - preschool and adult education but also partners from five different countries will bring innovative solutions for facing the common challenges in the field of multigenerational learning. Transnational dimension of working in the project will allow participants to get in touch with completely new visions and ideas – combining them will lead to solutions that could never happened in just one national environment.
