It´s our world - take care of it

Description

"This project wants to discover the impact of human activity on our planet, and show what we can do to ensure a sustainable future. For this project we were inspired by Sustainable Development Goals (further SDGs). The general objective of the project is using modern technology and methods of students´ and teachers’ teamwork. Another general objective will be improving communication abilities in foreign languages – English and partner languages. The general objectives are linked to horizontal priority ""Supporting individuals in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competences"".Each school decided to choose one or two of the SDGs. Czech school chose Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, Spanish school Goal 5: Gender Equality, Italian School Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and Goal 14: Life Below Water, Polish school Goal 2: Zero Hunger and Goal 13: Climate Action. Because we will be working as the team we will all use Goal 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal. Above mentioned goals from the SDGs correspond with three specific objectives Energy and resources, Environment and climate change, Gender equality.HORIZONTAL priority is ""Social and educational value of European cultural heritage, its contribution to job creation, economic growth and social cohesion"" - we believe that all participants will get knowledge, abilities and skills which could help them to get interesting jobs and better life. We think that if we offer the students joining in projects like that we can motivate students to finish their education. That is another priority ""SCHOOL EDUCATION Tackling early school leaving and disadvantage"".The specific project objective is the realization of 4 activities and creating outputs (web pages, presentations, photo documentation, excursions, lectures, articles to media, leaflets, study materials, newsletters, noticeboards etc.). The hosted school will prepare the program for the activity concerning the goal(s) - first all contributions of partner schools will be presented by students. The following task will be to prepare the output from the activity where the activity will be described, all school contributions will be presented and finally the conclusion will be shown. Participants will be teachers and students (age 15-17), specialists of cooperating institutions, members of local communities and school authorities from local school governments. We will choose at least 5 teachers who will be involved in the project directly and teachers who will be familiarised with the project outputs. From each school there will be chosen at least 15 students who will take part directly in the project and learning activities and at least 30 ones who will take part in local activities in each country. But we are planning to present the project to other students and teachers and let them use the project outputs. The main goals of learning activity (LA) gender equality will be to make students conscious about discrimination against women, forced marriages and genital mutilation; to learn about equal rights. The main goals of LA the path of water will be to enhance students’ commitment on water and to spread the value of water in different cultures. The main goals of LA clean energy will be to understand the ways of producing energy; to realise the importance of using alternative sources of energy and to learn how to save the energy. The main goals of LA climate change and zero hunger will be to understand causes of climate change; to understand how human activities effect environment; to learn about climate change facts, how these changes affect agriculture and cause hunger and to familiarize students with “planetary diet” and how it can save the planet. The topics are related to world awareness about life so they will be integrated to the schools easily. The main method used will be Experiential Education which enables support of creative approaches, active negotiations, creating informal relations and learning from experience. The basic activity will constitute the workshops. We will try to involve collaborative learning in workshops. Teachers will use the all above mentioned methods in their future work. We believe that our teachers and students will get experience with using eTwinning and Erasmus+ platforms and will use them in their future work and for other projects. Implementation of the project goals into teaching makes study attractive. All participants will learn to work independently, and they will solve tasks and communicate in foreign language. Theoretical teaching will be connected with practice because of excursions and workshops during mobility. The impact will be local but thanks to the publication and promotion of the project the impact will be at the national level and through the involvement of partners in dissemination activities there will be impact on the European level. We make sure that the knowledge gained during SDG will be disseminated and worked again in every school."
