VELA - VET Empowerment through innovative and inclusive Learning Approaches”

Description

"<< Background >>The shock of the COVID-19 crisis on education has been unprecedented. It has set the clock back on the attainment of international education goals, and disproportionately affected the most vulnerable. According with “UN - Policy Brief: Education during Covid-19 and beyond” more than 1.5 learners across the planet are or have been affected by lack of educational meaning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, vocational education and training (VET) systems are being uniquely impacted and it has received limited attention compared to other parts of the education system and is often seen as having lower status. While for mainstream schools, governments have adopted protocols to allow students to return to school, in the field of VET there is a dangerous carelessness. There is an enormous variety of tools available to teachers and trainers to create their own learning material and environments, but the vast majority of them are not VET-specific. Ready-made material with VET-specific content is much less developed. In most cases, the tools provided by public or private stakeholders focus exclusively on theoretical knowledge. There is a risk that VET learners are disadvantaged compared with learners from other educational tracks, as more efforts are put into general school subjects. This extraordinary situation is an opportunity for VET providers and learners alike to develop their digital competence.<< Objectives >>GENERAL OBJECTIVE:- Building more sustainable and resilient society in EU enhancing the delivery of education and training after COVID-19 crisis, supporting innovation and inclusion of vulnerable group. This WP will ensure a smooth coordination and management and successful completion of all tasks, a proper allocation of resources within the fixed timeframe and an effective communication with the contracting European agency and all partners involved.- WP2: Project Results development. This work package will be used to develop the activities foreseen in the creation of all 4 project Results. Each result will have a specific section and belonging to the same work package the flow of activities will be more coherent: Result 1 A research and needs analysis process to identify existing models of best practice for the development of innovative VET and e-learning skills acquisition; Result 2 The design, development and testing of the Moodle platform to support the implementation of the accessible online learning. This phase during third year will be devoted to check the sustainability of the project results. Throughout the entire project will be dedicated space to the improvements of the project results through the testing phase. - WP 4: Quality Assurance: An evaluation and quality assessment plan will be created at the beginning of the project. Its aim is to have in our project excellent procedures for quality assurance and a clear understanding of each partner’s contribution to the quality of the entire project. The quality plan addresses each work package, each meeting and the project as a whole. Internal project reports from partners are to be made every half a year. - WP 5: Sharing promotion and use of project results: The aim of the Sharing activities is to maximize publicity, transparency, and proliferation of project results in order to ensure maximum impact and wide-spreading public outputs and outcomes towards our target users and wide public.
