European module for integration courses

Description

"Ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Africa result in migration movements to Europe on the one hand as well as European countries closing down their borders on the other hand. The European Union is facing one of its biggest challenges nowadays. Our project supports the believe that a greater coordination between EU Member States and the creation of shared European values will manage migrant and asylum flows more sustainably. Therefore, the project partners, being migrant organisations and training providers coming from six different European countries (Germany, Italy, Republic of North Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal), elaborated a European module for integration courses called ""Living in Europe"", based on shared European values. Additionally, a corresponding train-the-trainer workshop has been conceptualised and an e-learning platform with all elaborated materials has been prepared. After finalising the first draft of the EMIC module, it has been successfully tested at the Italian Lifelong learning Institute CPIA by the partner GEA in Italy and at VESBE e.V. in Germany during a course for young refugees. This helped to identify the best target Group/conditions for the module and to adapt the material according to the findings. The test also brought positive results in terms of knowledge transfer about the EU of the students and in terms of usability for teachers.Synchronically, dissemination activities have been undertaken through regular updates and postings by all partners on different media channels such as Facebook and Instagram and we have set up our own EMIC website (www.emicproject.eu) and a newsletter has been sent to private and public institutions working with/for migrants/refugees. The produces material is made to be used by a broad audience and will be provided on the EMIC website, to be used by organisations as well as by private persons directly to learn more about the EU and the life in the EU. This makes it possible to provide the contents to the public in the long run"
